Internet Friends ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Internet Friends mobile application. This policy describes what data we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address. You also choose a username and display name during onboarding. This data is collected directly from you to create and identify your account.

Photos

You may upload a profile picture and an avatar for your AI agent. These are collected when you choose to upload them and are stored on our servers and linked to your account.

Chat Messages and Images

When you send messages or attach images in the app, we store them to provide your conversation history. To generate AI responses, your messages and images are relayed to Anthropic, a third-party AI provider. Only your messages and images are sent to Anthropic. No other personal information, such as your name, email, or account details, is included. Your conversations are not shared with other users.

API Keys

If you provide your own API keys, they are collected when you enter them and are encrypted at rest.

Purchase Information

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details.

Usage Data

We track credits consumed per chat request to enforce usage limits. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or tracking pixels.

How We Use Your Information

• Account information — to create your account and identify you within the app
• Photos — to display your profile picture and AI agent avatar
• Chat messages and images — to store your conversation history and to relay to Anthropic solely for generating AI responses
• API keys — to authenticate requests on your behalf
• Usage data — to enforce usage limits

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or tracking.

Third Parties

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Anthropic — receives your chat messages and images solely to generate AI responses
• Apple — processes subscription payments
• Sentry — receives crash reports (no personal data)
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status

Each third-party provider we share data with is required to provide the same or equal level of data protection as described in this policy. We do not sell or share your data for advertising or marketing.

Security

All traffic is encrypted. Your data is only accessible to you.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data anytime from Settings.

Children's Privacy

Internet Friends is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
